Ewa Kurzawa
I am a psychotherapist in the final year of my full-time training at the Intra School of Psychotherapy, an art therapist, a crisis interventionist, and a cultural studies specialist. I am currently participating in the Level I Training in Jungian Analysis at the Polish Society for Jungian Psychoanalysis. I work with adults using an integrative approach, with particular emphasis on the humanistic-experiential approach. I am a member of the Polish Humanistic-Experiential Association.
In my therapeutic work, the most important things for me are empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for the history and experiences of each person. With my support, the client sets the pace and direction for their process, while I am responsible for creating the right environment for change: I nurture the process and its safe framework, carefully and responsibly co-create the therapeutic relationship, and accompany the client.
I perceive work with clients as a great responsibility, which is why I subject it to regular supervision. Psychotherapy is a challenging process - it requires commitment from both the psychotherapist and the client. I have great respect for people who undertake the effort of their own therapy.
How do I work?
I believe that the most important healing factor is an authentic and safe therapeutic relationship that can heal past wounds and allow for a change in how we experience ourselves, the world and others.
I work with a humanistic-experiential approach, drawing on the principles of person-centered therapy developed by Carl Rogers. I am also interested in the analytical psychology of Carl Gustav Jung, whose understanding of the human psyche is close to my heart.
I use methods that help clients connect with their own experiences, including Focusing and Emotionally Focused Psychotherapy (EFT).
