Ewa Kurzawa

I am a psychotherapist in the process of finishing training at the Intra School of Psychotherapy, an art therapist, a crisis interventionist, a yin yoga teacher, and a cultural studies specialist. I work with adults using an integrative approach, with a particular focus on the humanistic-experiential approach. I am a member of the Polish Humanistic-Experiential Association.

In my therapeutic work, the most important things for me are empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for the history and experiences of each person. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, which can heal past wounds and allow for a change in the experience of oneself, the world, and other people. The client, with my support, sets the pace and direction of their process - I am responsible for creating an appropriate environment for change: I care for the process and its safe framework, I carefully and responsibly co-create the therapeutic relationship and accompany the client.

I perceive work with clients as a great responsibility, which is why I subject it to regular supervision. Psychotherapy is not an easy process - it requires commitment from both the psychotherapist and the client. I have great respect for people who undertake the effort of their own therapy.

How do I work?

I support clients by using methods such as focusing, which helps establish contact with inner feelings, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT).

Thanks to my experience in art therapy, I sometimes introduce creative elements into therapy, which help express what is difficult to put into words.

As a yin yoga teacher, I combine knowledge of the body with therapeutic work, supporting emotion regulation and soothing the nervous system.
